Logistics

Over the years, companies have improved their performance not only by managing their supply chain but also by overhauling their internal logistics. Development in business and increasing competition has escalated a demand for reliable companies that can provide dependable services of logistics in various sectors. Approximately one third of world's logistics activity passes though the region of UAE which makes it a paramount global logistics hub. Due to its favorable geographical location, Dubai is a significant player in transport logistics and international trading. UAE is also considered to be the gateway to the world's most progressive markets which include India, China and Africa. UAE is situated exactly in the middle of Europe and Far East and is at the crossroad of international trade and commerce between Eastern and Western countries.

Dubai has become the world’s leading sea-air transport that has a multi-model system. Owing to its perfect location, Dubai also offers cost-effective means of transportation that considerably saves freight cost and transit time as compared to pure air freight or sea freight mode. Sea-air freight mode allows transmit time of 15 to 17 days from origin port to destination airport and also saves the cost of transit by 50% as compared to pure air and sea freight. The position of UAE as an international logistics hub played a vital role during the recession period in the country. Government used this strength at that time to overcome the effects of crisis. During the time of catastrophe, when other economies of the country were abating, the country still remained buoyant because its logistics hub continued to attract investors from foreign countries.
